Job summary

Pace Community Action Agency is seeking a Family Specialist to provide case management and family partnership services within the Child Services Section. You will coordinate parent involvement activities, assist with recruitment and enrollment, and support program operations.

The role requires a related-field degree or Family Development Credential, strong communication, reporting, and teamwork skills, and MS Office proficiency; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field or Family Development Credential within 18 months of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Spanish speaking a plus.
• Write reports and business correspondence; present information effectively.
• Cooperate successfully as a team member.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for early childhood education and quality services for children and families.
• Establish respectful partnerships with families to improve lives and communities.
• Support families' goals and coordinate parent involvement activities.
• Work with management to meet Head Start Performance Standards.
• Maintain program databases to track child and family information.
• Recruit and enroll children and families; facilitate group events and literacy activities.
