Job summary

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a Family and Community Engagement Specialist to connect LLCC with families, schools, and community partners across the district. The role builds relationships that expand educational opportunities, supports student success, and fosters belonging throughout the college journey.

You will develop outreach strategies, strengthen pathways to higher education, and champion equitable access for learners of all ages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR extensive, relevant experience OR combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in recruitment, education, counseling, outreach, or community engagement.
• Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating presentations, workshops, recruitment or outreach events, and community outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and lead a district-wide parent, family, and community engagement strategy that creates sustainable enrollment pipelines.
• Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote college awareness.
• Coordinate outreach activities, presentations, family engagement programs, and special events that increase educational attainment.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate parent and family engagement initiatives that promote college awareness, financial aid literacy, dual credit opportunities.
• Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and educational programming that increase family understanding of higher education.
• Develop, expand, and sustain strategic partnerships modeled after FACE initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments, school districts, community organizations, businesses, and external partners to plan outreach initiatives and events.
• Utilize Salesforce and other systems to manage outreach communications and monitor engagement.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations to support data-informed decision making.
• Represent LLCC at recruitment events, campus visits, family nights, and community functions.
• Collaborate with Recruitment and Admissions staff to support enrollment goals and programs.
