Job description

Full-time position (80 hours biweekly)

Schedule: Days and evenings

Includes clinical hours and licensure supervision.

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible and paid within 3 weeks of start date: $7,500 with a 3-year commitment, $5,000 with a 2-year commitment, or $2,500 with a 1-year commitment.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid remote work opportunity

Qualifications:

  1. Preferred: Two years of clinical experience with children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting.
  2. Flexible schedule availability, including up to four evenings per week.
  3. Must have access to own vehicle for travel within the county.
  4. Comfortable working in families' homes.
  5. Available for on-call rotations.

Position Overview:

The Family Based Therapist / Allied Mental Health Professional provides:

  1. Therapeutic interventions (individual, family, group) in home, community, and school settings.
  2. Case management and community linkage.
  3. Crisis management.

Collaborates with treatment team members, both internal and external, involved in the child's or adolescent's care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patients and families regarding home environment, relationships, health history, and personality traits.
  2. Conduct therapy sessions; monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
  3. Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, parental, family, and group therapies.
  4. Accurately document observations and care in appropriate records.
  5. Coordinate care and lead interagency meetings.

Required Skills:

  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills with patients, families, and team members.
  • Analytical skills for psychosocial data assessment and treatment evaluation.
  • Ability to observe patient behavior and prepare documentation.
  • Knowledge of care and behavioral considerations for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Must have own transportation and a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Required Experience:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, or Bachelor's degree with CMHFBW certification.
  • Minimum two years' experience working with children and/or adolescents in mental health.
  • Experience in family therapy, crisis management, and case management is preferred.

Department Description:

Family Based Services are delivered in-home and community settings, tailored to family needs, including:

  • Family and individual therapy
  • Referral, coordination, and linkage to other services
  • Crisis intervention and stabilization
  • School-based consultation and intervention
  • Parent support for behavior management and parenting strategies
  • Psychiatric care/referrals

Minimum Education:

  • Master's degree in psychology, marriage and family counseling, or related human service field

  • Two years of clinical experience with children and adolescents in behavioral health

Driver's License:

Valid driver's license in current state; driving record must meet agency standards.
