Job description

Position: Family Assistant, Live Out, Nanny, Part Time

Location: Brooklyn, Manhattan, New York

A family of four, in the East Village soon to be based in Boerum Hill, needs to hire an afternoon Nanny/ Family Assistant to assist in the care of their two early elementary age children. Responsibilities include:

1. Engaging the children in developmental activities and play.
2. Planning outings and playdates.
3. School pick up and transporting them to activities & appointments.
4. Household organization and homework help.
5. Keeping the children’s areas tidy & doing their laundry.
6. Children’s meal prep.

A background in education, psychology, or a related field would be a big plus. All applicants must be COVID vaccinated and be comfortable working in a home with a dog. The typical schedule will be Monday to Friday from 12 to 5:30pm but the family is also flexible for a 2:30 to 5:30pm schedule without the laundry and cleaning assistance for the children. The family will be moving to Brooklyn in late spring/early summer so all candidates must be flexible to work in both locations. Children are neurodivergent; however, this experience is not required, as they have specialized assistance. Salary range: $40-55/hr. depending on experience. Immediate start.
