Job summary

Audubon Area Community Services in Kentucky is seeking a Family Advocate/Program Assistant (FT) for Head Start. You will coordinate services with children, families, and communities, and support social services and parent involvement within Head Start.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, six months related experience preferred, and the possibility to pursue an associate or bachelor’s degree or certification within 18 months.

Job Skills / Requirements

Starting wages: $13.65 - $18.15 hourly. Will create, provide, and coordinate services and activities with children, families, and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being. Will provide instructional experiences to Head Start families and children in the areas of social services and parent involvement. Working 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week, 200 days per year. Travel/valid driver's license is required.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Six months of related experience is preferred. An associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field, or certification must be obtained with 18 months of employment.
