Job summary

Cocoon House seeks a Juvenile Justice Family Advocate to support families and youth involved with the juvenile justice system. The role focuses on reducing family conflict, strengthening relationships, and guiding navigation of services and court involvement.

The position involves home and community visits, goal planning, and family-centered case management with a caseload of up to 15 families. On-site duties include evening flexibility and occasional weekend family classes in Snohomish County.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct experience with parents or guardians of middle/high school youth.
• Experience supporting youth and families involved in juvenile justice is preferred.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice processes, court systems, and community resources is preferred.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Crisis de-escalation skills are important.
• Individuals with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management to up to 15 families, including youth involved with juvenile justice.
• Engage families in homes and community, assessing needs and creating goal plans.
• Collaborate with Cocoon House programs and Youth Engagement Team for seamless services.
• Represent Cocoon House in Juvenile Justice matters when required.
• Coordinate with community partners to connect families with resources.
