Job summary

Child Inc. in Austin seeks a Family Advocate to build strong, goal-oriented relationships with families, provide case management and connect families to resources that promote self-sufficiency and child well-being.

The role serves as a vital link between families, community resources and the classroom to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive; requires a bachelor's in social services or related field and four years of experience, with Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, or related field OR credential/certification in one of these areas (must be obtained within 18 months of hire)
  • Four (4) years of experience in case management or related work
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with computer software (Word, Excel, databases); experience with ChildPlus preferred
  • Conversational Spanish strongly preferred
  • Must pass all required criminal history background checks
  • Valid driver\'s license and ability to travel locally and occasionally out-of-area

Responsibilities

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to strengthen family engagement practices

About the Role

We are seeking a Family Advocate to join our team. The Family Advocate builds strong, goal-oriented relationships with families, provides case management and support services, and connects families to resources that promote self-sufficiency and child well-being. $22.80 - 27.35 (depending on years of experience and education)
