Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a dedicated Family Advisor to lead admissions and guide prospective residents and their families through the process.

You will collect inquiries, assess eligibility, and coordinate with physicians to ensure smooth admissions while representing the community to the broader health care network.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of state and regulatory requirements related to admissions, discharge and transfer.
• Knowledge of payment systems (Medicare/Medicaid, HMOs, PPOs, indemnity).
• At least 1 year of experience in the health care field, preferably long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Seek and/or receive inquiries and document information for potential residents to be admitted.
• Screen and evaluate each referral to determine fit for transfer and admission.
• Coordinate all communications from physicians.
• Document all admission and discharge activity.
• Support marketing efforts in the community.

Job Description

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating admission to the facility. The admission coordinator seeks and/or receives inquires and documents information for potential residents to be admitted.

• Screens and evaluated each referral and determine whether the prospective resident meets criteria for transfer and admission
• Coordinates all communication received from physician
• Documentation of all admission and discharge activity
• Responsible for marketing efforts in the community

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of state and regulatory requirement related to admissions, discharge and transfer is demonstrated
• Current knowledge and understanding of payment systems, HMO, PPO, Indemnity, Worker's Compensation, insurance (Medicare and Medicaid, etc)
• At least one (1) year of experience in the health care field, preferably long-term care
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with health care professionals, potential residents, family members and the community in general.
