Job summary

LJB Inc. in Houston, Texas seeks a Mid-level Structural Engineer to lead fall protection design projects within its Safety practice.

You will analyze building components, develop layouts, and prepare calculations using Revit and CAD while coordinating with design staff to ensure accurate drawings. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil/architectural/mechanical engineering and 5+ years of related experience; a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering (structural emphasis preferred).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in structural projects and fall protection.
• CAD experience in Revit and Bluebeam is preferred; RAM or other analysis software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Documents existing conditions to accommodate fall protection additions.
• Analyze structural framing and concrete to support fall protection systems.
• Develop layouts for fall protection addressing client needs and coordinate with the structure.
• Prepare calculations detailing engineering design.
• Assist with construction documents and coordinate with staff.
