Job summary

LJB Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Mid-level Structural Engineer to join our Safety practice.

You will analyze, design, plan, and create structural components and systems for fall protection projects, collaborating with project teams and clients to deliver effective solutions. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with CAD tools like Revit and Bluebeam; RAM or similar software experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering (degree with structural emphasis preferred).
• 5+ years of engineering experience (design of structural projects and fall protection preferred).
• CAD experience (Revit and Bluebeam preferred); RAM or other structural analysis software experience.

Responsibilities

• Documents existing conditions to accommodate fall protection system additions (platforms, anchorages, lifelines).
• Analyze building components to support fall protection systems (structural steel, cold-formed steel, concrete).
• Develop layouts of fall protection systems addressing client needs and coordinate with existing structure.
