Job summary

LJB Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Entry-level Structural Engineer to join our Safety team.

You will analyze, design, and create structural components and systems to achieve fall protection designs for our clients, working across industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. Ideal candidates have a civil/architectural/mechanical background with up to 3 years of experience, CAD proficiency (Revit/Bluebeam), and familiarity with RAM or similar structural analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering.
• New graduate to 3+ years of engineering experience with structural projects.
• CAD experience with Revit and Bluebeam; RAM or similar software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Document structural systems in industrial, commercial, or institutional facilities.
• Design fall protection systems using fundamental structural engineering principles.
• Analyze components supporting fall protection, including steel and concrete elements.
• Prepare calculations detailing engineering design.
• Operate Revit and CAD to complete assigned tasks and assist with construction documents.
