Job summary

Belle Plaine Public School District, ISD 716 is seeking a Fall Musical Technical Director to support technical elements of the production. Responsibilities include assisting with set construction, leading scenic painting, and coordinating props.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical theater, construction, painting, lighting, or sound preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with students and adults.
• Knowledge of basic theater safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set construction, installation, and strike.
• Lead scenic painting and decorative finishing of set pieces.
• Coordinate and organize props for rehearsals and performances.
• Oversee student lighting and sound technicians.
• Assist with lighting and sound design, setup, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with directing staff throughout the production process.
