Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is offering a student internship focused on accelerating advanced investment casting production and implementing the Zero Defect Framework on the shop floor.

You will gain hands-on experience in defect tracking, data analytics, AI tools, and quality system processes within GE Gas Power manufacturing. The role involves collaborating with Quality, Process, and Product engineers, learning NDT and inspection technologies, and contributing to Lean initiatives to improve process flow

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergrad or graduate degree.
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial/Engineering management or Data Analytics.
• Academic achievement and interest in process improvement and problem solving.
• Ability to work in a team (in-person) and communicate clearly.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support BIQ framework on the shop floor to improve defect tracking and real-time problem solving.
• Assist in visual management projects including MRB layout, Non-Conformance tracking, scrap containment, and shipping submission.
• Collaborate with Quality, Process, and Product engineers on trials and equipment installations.
• Own AI and Digitization efforts creating part and trial tracking tools, plus SPC visualization.
• Learn inspection technologies such as borescope and NDT processes to assess quality.
• Facilitate QMS adherence through document creation and tracking.
• Participate in Lean activities to improve shop floor flow and process improvements.
