Chess Wizards in Burien, WA seeks enthusiastic instructors for after-school chess classes with 10–15 elementary students. Lead engaging sessions using our curriculum, promote good sportsmanship, and manage a lively classroom after arrival and dismissal at partner schools.

This fall session-based role offers 1–5 classes per week, afternoon slots between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, mileage reimbursement for travel, and full training with materials.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring groups of children.
• Ability to lead a class independently and keep students engaged.
• Strong, kid-friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
• Clear explanation of chess moves, basic strategy, and tactics for kids.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive between schools.
• Availability Weekdays 2:00–5:00 PM for 1–5 classes per week.
