Job Description

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks to establish apool of qualified applicants for Adjunct Faculty appointments inKinesiology.Successful applicants may teach up to six (6) semestercredit hours of face-to-face courses in Kinesiology at designatedon-campus locations, based on program needs, course schedules, andstudent demand. Adjunct Faculty are expected to hold office hoursand provide assistance to students as needed.

*This position requires face-to-face interaction and regularattendance on campus in accordance with the assigned teachingschedule.

Required Qualification:
  • An earned master's degree or higher in Kinesiology, ExerciseScience, or Physical Education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous teaching, coaching, or related instructional experiencein kinesiology, exercise science, physical education, fitness, orsport settings.
  • Current certification in personal training and/or groupexercise.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to teach face-to-face courses.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students,colleagues, and the general public.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet establisheddeadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other information:
  • The duties listed above may not be performed in every AdjunctFaculty appointment and do not necessarily include all relatedduties that may be assigned.
  • Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary appointments made on a semester-by-semester, as-needed basis.
  • Appointments are for Spring 2027, and are also contingent uponprogram needs, course availability, and student enrollment.
