Help shape the future of news in California. The California Post is an online newsroom focused on California audiences, providing original reporting, breaking news, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, and culture coverage. As an internship, you'll work alongside writers, editors, and producers, contribute to live coverage, attend editorial meetings, pitch ideas, and develop skills for a journalism career.

Program Details
  • Program Dates: September 14, 2026 – November 20, 2026 (10 weeks)
  • Schedule: 24 hours per week
  • Location: On site in our Los Angeles (Century City) newsroom
  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour
  • College Credit: Eligible where applicable through your institution
Qualifications

We’re looking for ambitious, curious, and resourceful storytellers who thrive in a fast paced, collaborative newsroom.

  • Current juniors and seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Current master’s students
  • Recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year
  • Applicants with degrees in Journalism, Communications, English, Digital Media, Broadcasting, or related fields are encouraged to apply
  • Prior journalism, campus media, student newspaper, broadcast, digital media, or reporting experience (including previous internships or published work) will receive special consideration
