The selected intern will gain insights into Internal Audit's role at the University and the operations of and systems used by various departments across the University.

Qualifications

• Current UMass student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Interest in higher education, internal audit, operations, compliance, and IT.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and comfortable with new technology.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support.
• Assist in audit research and tests of internal controls and compliance.
• Interact with administrators, faculty, and staff.
• Organize workpapers.
• Follow-up on management's action plans.
• Think critically and exercise professional skepticism, judgment, and discretion.
• Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned.
