Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a masters or PhD degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (PhD preferred).
• Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
• Proficiency in AI practices and feeding LLM with data and knowledge base.
• Strong Programming Fluency: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) for data analysis and modeling.
• Advanced ML Knowledge: Classification algorithms (SVM, DT, ANNs) and model evaluation metrics (F1-score, precision, recall).
• C/C++ Proficiency: Embedded systems development experience.
• Signal Processing coursework or project experience; ISO 26262 understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data & Feature Engineering: Design Python-based tools to parse, decode, and extract features from automotive PCAP logs.
• Signal Processing: Apply advanced techniques to transform vehicle data and analyze corner cases.
• ML Model Building: Develop and train models for prediction, detection, and classification tasks.
• System Integration: Architect end-to-end workflow for raw vehicle logs and data preparation for training.
• Data visualization: Create dashboards focused on outcomes to support decision making.
