Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Dynamics Engineer for Falcon and Dragon programs in Hawthorne, CA. You will perform structural dynamics analyses, develop models, and process flight data to support propulsion and vehicle operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and hands-on experience with dynamics, data processing, and programming in Python or MATLAB. Strong DMAP/NASTRAN and FEA skills are preferred, with readiness for extended hours when milestones demand it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience with structural dynamic analyses or system dynamics modeling is essential.
• Hands-on data analysis or hardware experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Resolve dynamics problems through hand calculations, analysis, tests, and flight data.
• Use flight data to monitor health of Falcon vehicle fleet, including engine performance.
• Execute dynamic testing from pre-test planning to data processing and model correlation.
• Own system-level analyses and drive hardware modifications or vehicle operations.
• Write new code and use commercial or in-house tools for analyses.
