Job summary

Traders Point Christian Church is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to protect guests and staff, monitor security systems, and respond to emergencies on campus. The role requires vigilance, discretion, and a servant leadership mindset in a faith-centered environment.

Qualifications include 21+ years old with Indiana driver’s license, high school diploma, and firearm carry license; a bachelor’s in ministry or security is preferred. Training on first aid and de-escalation will be provided.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age with a valid Indiana driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in ministry, law enforcement, safety, security or related field preferred.
• Indiana license to carry a firearm required.
• Complete on‑job training in basic first aid, CPR, de‑escalation, defensive tactics within 90 days.
• Ability to qualify with a firearm under the Indiana ILEA course of fire within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide directions, information, and assistance to guests.
• Serve as a visible security presence on campus and patrol the parking lot and building.
• Provide security escort services and vehicle assistance as requested.
• Document incident reports and other required records thoroughly and timely.
• Monitor security systems and detect potential threats.
• Inspect doors, locks, and access control systems to ensure security.
• Notify emergency responders when emergencies occur on campus.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies and provide assistance.
• Perform other duties as required.
