Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers in Ohio who are active church participants with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role involves delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe classroom, and following our policies and routines.

Ideal candidates will complete substitute training, implement provided lesson plans, and serve as ambassadors within the community while coordinating with the lead teacher.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment according to LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and coordinate duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
