Qualifications

• Past experience teaching preschool or pre-kindergarten.
• Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
• Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
• Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children.
• Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
• Ability to follow direction and be a team player.
• Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.
• Degree in Education/Early Childhood Learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaching core concepts: numbers, letters, shapes, patterns, and colors.
• Catering lesson plans to your group of young learners.
• Using creative, hands-on methods: art, free play, storytelling.
• Planning a curriculum addressing early childhood education requirements.
• Encouraging and monitoring social interactions between learners.
• Instilling respect and discipline so children work in a classroom setting.
• Supervising children outside of class time: lunch, playground, field trips.
• Keeping the classroom clean, safe, and well-organized.
• Setting up materials and workspaces for activities.
• Communicating with parents to learn about each child’s life outside the classroom.
• Creating reports to inform parents about progress.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment.
