• Must meet all state requirements for this position.
• Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility is a plus.
• Pleasant, friendly demeanor with an outgoing personality.
• Must interact appropriately with students, parents, coworkers and management.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds consistently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classroom appearance, cleanliness, and a safe environment.
• Complete daily notes, attendance, and accident reports.
• Attend staff meetings, events, and parent meetings.
• Assist and supervise children during activities.
• Counsel children on social, academic, or adjustment issues.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans and schedules.
• Develop instructional aids and materials.
• Assist with meals and clean-up.
• Ensure equipment is safe and well-maintained.
• Organize classroom into defined interest areas.
• Direct activities of other staff to keep classroom orderly.
• Communicate with parents and maintain developmental profiles.
• Schedule and conduct parent/teacher conferences.
• Maintain family info boards and classroom bulletin boards.
• Follow classroom medication schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
