Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Course credit in child development preferred.
• At least two years’ experience implementing educational programming and working with students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Teacher in positive classroom management and delivering instruction to all students.
• Report progress regarding student performance and behavior.
• Assure health and safety of students; maintain a safe, orderly, and clean learning environment.
• Tutor individual or small groups as directed; monitor drills, practices, and assignments.
• Maintain discipline in the absence of the Teacher.
• Supervise students inside and outside the classroom as assigned.
• Assist in maintaining a functioning classroom environment and preparing instructional materials.
