Job summary

Hume Christian Camps is seeking a Grounds Assistant to maintain lawns, gardens, trails and public areas at Hume Lake, CA. You will operate lawn and grounds equipment, perform seasonal cleanup, and help ensure facilities are safe, clean, and welcoming for guests and staff.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, a team-oriented approach, and willingness to live in on-site housing or private accommodations.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to live in available Hume Lake housing or provide private accommodations.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all seasons, including extreme weather and high-altitude conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, trails, and grounds by mowing, trimming, weeding, and general upkeep.
• Perform routine upkeep of roads, walkways, and public areas, including litter removal and seasonal cleanup.
• Assist with snow removal and winter-weather preparedness at high altitude.
• Operate lawn and grounds equipment safely and perform basic maintenance.
