Job summary

The Mobilization Center in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking Door Canvassers for the 2026 election season. You will walk door-to-door engaging registered voters about elections, candidates, and issues, with data recording and daily narrative reporting.

This seasonal, hourly role requires part-time availability, 18+, reliable transportation, and comfort working outdoors in Alaska weather. It offers statewide travel opportunities and a schedule Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–8:00 PM with some weekend

Responsibilities

• Walk door-to-door in Fairbanks neighborhoods
• Interview and engage registered voters about upcoming elections, candidates, and issues
• Record accurate data and work with leadership to ensure data quality
• Meet daily, weekly, and project-long contact goals
• Write daily narrative reports to the leadership team
• Comply with all procedures and policies outlined in The Mobilization Center Employee Handbook
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by The Mobilization Center Leadership Team

Position Overview

The Mobilization Center is seeking Door Canvassers in Fairbanks, Alaska for the 2026 election season.

Our team will engage voters at their doors to help win key municipal and statewide races leading up to the November 2026 election.

Position Type: Seasonal, hourly

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, some weekend availability possible.
Location: Fairbanks, Alaska

Travel: State wide travel opportunities

Requirements

• Part-time availability
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable or personal transportation
• Comfortable working outdoors in Fairbanks weather conditions, including changing temperatures and seasonal conditions
• Enjoy speaking with new people
• Comfortable discussing political issues with voters
• Ability to stay positive under stressful conditions
• Ability to handle moderate levels of rejectionStrong communication skills and willingness to communicate issues as they arise
• Honest, reliable, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts
• No political experience required (though it is a plus!)
