Job summary

The New York State Department of Financial Services is seeking a permanent Team Lead for the Consumer Examination Unit Fair Lending Team in New York City.

You will oversee examination workflows, review analyses, train junior specialists, and act as the subject matter expert on fair lending compliance.

This role requires extensive financial services regulatory experience and the ability to lead a team independently.

Qualifications

• Eleven years of financial services experience with a regulated entity or governmental regulatory agency.
• Two years at managerial level.
• Practical and technical knowledge of state, federal, and/or international financial services laws and regulations.
• Extensive experience in Consumer Examinations Unit with fair lending analysis.
• Ability to lead a team independently.
• Knowledge of all CEU-related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fair lending compliance specialist team within the New York State Department of Financial Services.
• Oversee examination workflows and fair lending analysis across regulated entities.
• Train junior specialists and manage meetings with examiners and institutions.
• Review statistical analyses to identify disparities.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on fair lending compliance.
