Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking a Lab Tech I to support operations in West Boylston, MA. The role involves failure analysis laboratory processes for a variety of mechanical and materials components.

You will document samples, prepare metallographic specimens, and perform tests such as hardness and microhardness, optical emissions spectrometry, and electrical testing. Safety and accuracy are essential in in-house and field work.

Qualifications

• Post high school education related to failure analysis and metallography.
• Familiarity with metallographic laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer proficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Document samples and testing data with photos, sketches, and tables.
• Prepare lab work for failure analysis including metallography and testing.
• Operate cutting/sectioning saws, grit blasting, and hand/power tools.
• Perform other related duties as required.
