Job summary

STARPLUS ENERGY, LLC seeks a Failure Analysis Laboratory Engineer to perform root-cause analysis on products and materials using CT scanners, SEMs, and other lab instruments. You will disassemble safely, interpret results, calibrate equipment, and support cross-functional teams in corrective actions.

This role requires a bachelor’s in a STEM field (ABET-accredited) with strong data skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel up to 20% as needed. A master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Follow test procedures carefully and completely.
• Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines and procedures.
• Manage logistics of defective products entering and leaving the lab.
• Inspect products to evaluate conformance and identify root causes of defects.
• Provide data outputs from equipment in an analysis-ready format.
• Scrap post-analysis products following safety and environmental guidelines.
