Job summary

Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Ocotillo Failure Analysis Engineer – TEM/Probing to ensure the quality of next-generation silicon. You will identify failures, conduct root cause analyses, and develop probing methodologies.

You will operate TEM, SEM and probe stations, analyze IV/CV data, and collaborate with FA engineers to improve workflows. A strong background in semiconductor failure analysis and lab leadership is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with hands-on TEM/FIB/SEM experience.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
• Experience in semiconductor failure analysis labs or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate general failure analysis tools in the labs (TEM, SEM, optical scopes).
• Perform electrical probing and advanced characterization on silicon devices.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot probe stations and electrical measurement systems.
• Execute complex test plans and interpret schematics and device structures.
• Analyze electrical data (IV, CV, leakage) to support fault isolation and RCA.
• Partner with FA engineers to integrate probing with SEM, FIB/PFIB, and TEM workflows.
• Drive improvements in probing methods, workflows, and BKMs.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians on probing techniques.
