Qualifications

  • Understand the structure and functional principles of lithium-ion batteries and power battery systems.
  • Familiar with standard problem-solving tools such as 8D, FTA, HCA, and 5Why.
  • Hi-Voltage battery system handling certificate preferred.

Job Description

1. Responsible for the failure analysis of defective products in the factory and on the client side, completing root cause analysis in a timely manner, identifying product risks, and reducing customer complaints.

2. Promote and follow up on quality improvement measures.

3. Update and maintain lessons learned database based on customers’ complaint, regularly transfer lessons learned to other departments.

4. International/Domestic travel: 10%~30%.

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor degree or above in electrical engineering, chemistry or materials science related majors are preferred.

2. Understand the structure and functional principles of lithium‑ion batteries and power battery systems, as well as the manufacturing process, and be proficient in the related failure mechanisms of the system involving mechanical, electrical, chemical, and thermal issues.

3. Familiar with standard problem‑solving tools, such as 8D/FTA/Fishbone diagram/5Why.

4. Skilled in using Microsoft Office/Matlab/Python with strong data analysis capabilities.

5. Understand SEM (scanning electron microscope)/ FTIR (Fourier‑transformed infrared spectroscopy)/ ICP‑AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy)/ EIS (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) and other battery/materials related analysis equipment principles and methods.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

7. Hi‑Voltage battery system handling certificate preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
  • Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
