Job summary

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library invites applications for the position of Web Services Librarian. This is a non-tenure-track faculty appointment starting at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice with a full-time, 12-month contract.

UTC Library seeks candidates who can design and maintain front-end interfaces for library websites and platforms, enhance usability through analytics, and collaborate with faculty and students to support teaching, learning, and research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent.
• Minimal six months of experience with source-code editors and CMS (Drupal 11, WordPress).
• Minimal six months of experience with HTML and CSS.

Responsibilities

• Iteratively design, develop, and maintain front-end interfaces for library websites, applications, and platforms (e.g. Drupal, LibApps, Primo).
• Assess and improve user experience and student success via analytics and usability testing.
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Coordinate and support library staff members in the development and maintenance of web content.
