Job summary

Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York seeks a Faculty Affairs Manager to lead the Office of Faculty Services, oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure smooth administration of faculty processes including reappointments, tenure, promotions and sabbaticals.

The role requires strong parliamentary knowledge, staff leadership, and proficiency with Banner, Argos, MS Office and Google Suite. Some duties include policy guidance and workshop facilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Higher Education or Public Administration.
• Minimum of five years of administrative experience in higher education, especially in faculty processes.
• Proven expertise in parliamentary procedures for committees and meetings.
• Familiarity with Banner and Argos.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Office of Faculty Services and supervise staff.
• Advise administrators and faculty on college policies and procedures.
• Support reappointments, tenure, promotions and sabbaticals.
• Assist with confidential matters related to reappointment and tenure while coordinating with HR.
• Manage student evaluation processes for classroom and non-classroom faculty.
• Coordinate and support faculty senate committees and compliance requirements.
• Design and conduct informational workshops on applications and timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
