Position Title

Faculty, Psychiatry, Clinical Practice

Location

Macon, GA 31207

Responsibilities

• Maintain a financially viable clinical psychiatry practice at the Mercer Medicine clinic in Macon, GA while providing quality care to patients.
• Provide direct patient care services in an outpatient clinic Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
• Collaborate within and across clinical departments; participate in the department call schedule and emergency center call schedule.
• Supervise nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants as required.
• Provide outpatient psychiatric consultations for Mercer Medicine patients and other patients as requested by community physicians.
• Complete all medical record documentation requirements concurrently.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved general psychiatry residency.
• Board‑eligible/certified in general psychiatry and eligible to obtain a Georgia medical license.
• Considerable clinical experience with a variety of client populations.
• Willingness or experience performing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
• Familiarity and/or experience with medical practices, settings, and culture.
