Job summary

Mercer University is seeking a Primary Care Physician in Macon, GA to lead and contribute to family or internal medicine care at the IDD Center. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team within Mercer Medicine.

Department: Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities; Location: Macon, GA 31207; Additional Locations: (other possible locations)

Clinic: Mercer Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Care, Mercer Medicine; Job Family: Staff Clinical Services; Exempt; Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.

Responsibilities

This position is expected to contribute to maintaining a financially viable clinical practice at our Center for IDD Care Mercer Medicine clinic in Macon, GA.

Qualifications

• Hold an M.D., D.O., or similar degree and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrate strong experience working in interdisciplinary healthcare education and clinical settings.
• Experience in a health‑related clinical area is desirable.
