Job Details

The Jefferson College of Nursing is seeking a part-time faculty member for its DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program (NAP). This position involves teaching anesthesia-specific content and managing designated coursework, integrating evidence-based practice principles. Candidates should have at least three years of direct patient care experience as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Teaching experience is preferred. The role requires excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.

The NAP faculty member will be responsible for:

  1. Providing in-person classroom instruction
  2. Managing courses
  3. Developing or updating course content to stay current
  4. Recording lectures for future use
  5. Holding office hours
  6. Participating in simulation and skills labs
  7. Engaging in the admissions process for the program
  8. Guiding students on DNP projects
  9. Providing classroom and clinical instruction, counseling students involved in clinical incidents, and developing remediation plans
  10. Interacting with colleagues, visitors, and staff in line with the core values of the Enterprise

Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Unencumbered PA RN license
  • CRNA certification through the NBCRNA
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a CRNA
  • Teaching experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of CRNA practice and professional issues
  • Participation in relevant professional organizations
