Job description

Job Title: Faculty Physician - Rheumatology (Assistant or Associate Professor - Academic or Master Clinician Track)

The Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible Rheumatologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an Academic or Master Clinician Track.

Position Highlights:

  1. Provide clinical care for patients with rheumatology and autoimmune diseases in outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation services.
  2. Call services are distributed among the Division faculty based on clinical FTE.
  3. This position comprises 85% clinical time and 15% academic time.
  4. Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, precept fellow clinics, and engage in didactics and weekly conferences.
  5. Encourage publication and participation in Division and Department meetings.
  6. This is a full-time position.

About the Division:

The Division aims to understand and treat immunological and inflammatory diseases affecting various organs, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, and others. Faculty are involved in research, inpatient and outpatient consultations, and training future biomedical researchers and clinicians.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship program.
  • Board certified or eligible in internal medicine and rheumatology.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. with appropriate visa status.

Pay and Benefits:

The total salary is competitive, based on AAMC benchmarks. Clinical salary ranges from $193,152 to $286,311, depending on experience. Benefits include substantial 401K contributions, well-being programs, CME allowances, malpractice insurance, and more. The university also offers comprehensive health plans.
