Job description

The Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Transplantation (H.O.T.) and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota are seeking a board-certified/eligible Medical Hematologist/Oncologist with clinical training in Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy for an academic position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

We are looking for an energetic, self-starting professional interested in developing an academic, patient-centered program with a focus on clinical research in blood and marrow transplantation, stem cell transplantation, and cellular therapy. The candidate should thrive in the team-based environment of the UMN Medical School.

Position Highlights:
  1. Lead development, implementation, and supervision of innovative research projects and clinical trials in cancer treatment.
  2. Collaborate with research teams to support critical research goals.
  3. Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care for hematology/oncology patients and instruct medical students and postgraduate trainees.
About the Division:

The H.O.T. Division comprises leading experts dedicated to innovative therapies. Faculty have access to a top cancer research center designated by the National Cancer Institute. The Masonic Cancer Center has fostered collaborative research for over 25 years, focusing on cancer causes, prevention, detection, and treatment. More information is available at cancer.umn.edu.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.
  • Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology.
  • Ability to obtain medical license and DEA in Minnesota, and meet credentialing requirements.
  • Legal work authorization in the U.S. and compliance with VISA requirements.
  • Open to experienced academicians and fellows. Application should include CV, research summary, clinical and educational accomplishments, and future plans. The position is on the academic track.
Pay and Benefits:

This position is jointly employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. The salary range is $252,300 - $521,915, based on experience and qualifications. Clinical salary is provided through M Physicians, aligned with clinical effort.
