Job summary

Jacksonville State University’s College of Education and Professional Studies is seeking an Instructor or Assistant Professor in Teacher Education. The role supports student learning in Teacher Education and may involve on-campus, off-campus, online, or videoconferencing delivery to both traditional and non-traditional students.

The successful candidate will facilitate comprehension and application of concepts and behaviors, and promote inclusive practices within a diverse learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or Elementary Mathematics Education or related field for Instructor level; Doctorate for Assistant Professor level.
• Minimum 6 years of teaching experience in P-12 schools, preferably in the specified fields.
• Experience teaching and supporting students in K-12 settings and working with diverse student groups.

Instructor or Assistant Professor, Teacher Education

Jacksonville State University’s College of Education and Professional Studies is seeking a scholar to serve as an Instructor or Assistant Professor in Teacher Education.

The faculty member will facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able, and responsible members of society. The position is designed to provide educational services to traditional and non‑traditional students during day or evening hours, and may require teaching courses on campus, off‑campus, online, and/or via videoconferencing.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses within the concentration area across various delivery methods (on‑campus, off‑campus, online, videoconferencing).
• Support diverse student groups and promote inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Instructor level: Master’s degree in Special Education or Elementary Mathematics Education or related field.
• Assistant Professor level: Doctorate in Special Education or Elementary Mathematics Education or related field.
