Overview

Hackensack Meridian Health and the Department of Medicine/Geriatrics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center is seeking a faculty physician to also serve as Associate Director of Geriatric Consult Service. In this role, you will oversee both administrative and clinical programs within the Department of Medicine and support geriatric initiatives in other areas, such as Emergency Medicine and Surgery.

This position offers a chance to go beyond the usual responsibilities and help shape the future of geriatric care. You will partner with the Chief of Geriatrics to develop and expand both inpatient and outpatient geriatric consultation services, as well as a co-management program for high-risk surgical patients. The role has both clinical and administrative responsibilities, giving you a strong mix of direct patient care and program development.

You will be supported by a dedicated Social Worker, two Geriatric Nurse Practitioners, and a Geriatric Surgical Coordinator. Encourage both new and experienced physicians to apply. • Work with the Chief of Geriatrics on assessing the feasibility of establishing a Geriatric Fellowship Program
