Job summary

The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking applicants for a full- or part-time Exodontist faculty position to provide direct patient care and supervise pre-doctoral students in emergency and elective Oral Surgery clinics.

The candidate should hold a DDS or DMD, be an active clinician, and meet licensure requirements in Pennsylvania. CODA-accredited training and teaching experience are valued; salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from CODA-accredited program.
• Active clinician with experience in a busy practice.
• Graduates of a CODA-accredited AEGD or GPR program are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in emergency and elective Oral Surgery clinics.
• Supervise pre-doctoral students in clinics and pre-clinical laboratories.
• Participate in didactic teaching and other teaching activities as needed.

Job description

The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking applicants for a full- or part-time faculty Exodontist position. The major responsibilities of this position will include provision of direct patient care and supervision of pre-doctoral students in the emergency and elective Oral Surgery clinics. The faculty will also participate in other teaching activities as needed such as supervision of pre-doctoral students in clinics and pre-clinical laboratories, in addition to didactic teaching.

The successful candidate must have a DDS or DMD from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and be a currently active clinician, with experience within a busy practice. International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons with Board Certification or equivalent in their home country may be considered. Graduates of a CODA-accredited AEGD or GPR program are preferred. Applicants are expected to have excellent clinical and teaching experience, particularly in minor oral surgery and dental extractions. A current or eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
