Faculty & Clinical Coordinator, Surgical Technologist Program

We are seeking a Faculty/Clinical Coordinator to support the delivery of our Surgical Technologist program. This role is primarily responsible for managing the program's clinical experiences and teaching courses in various modalities while promoting Rasmussen University's mission and vision. The minimum expectations include:

• Clinical Site Planning, Implementation, and Assessment
• Programmatic & Academic Support
• Programmatic & Academic Student Success
• Teaching Effectiveness: Professionalism, Technology Use, Content Expertise
• Student Outreach and Support
• Service to University & Community: Campus Presence and Event Participation
• Professional Development and In-service

Workload: 5 work units total, with 1-2 for clinical coordination and 3-4 for teaching.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Site Planning, Implementation, and Assessment

Manage clinical sites, develop affiliation agreements, coordinate student placements, evaluate student performance, and maintain documentation.

Programmatic & Academic Support

Assist in curriculum planning, represent Rasmussen University, participate in strategic planning, maintain compliance, and support accreditation efforts.

Student Success & Outreach

Provide academic advising, respond to student needs, foster partnerships, and ensure effective communication and outreach.

Service & Community Engagement

Participate in curriculum development, attend meetings, and engage in community events.

Professional Development

Complete 20 Rasmussen Education Units annually, including specific requirements for clinical coordinators.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, Surgical Technology specialization required
• ST or CST/CSFA licensure
• At least three years of clinical or teaching experience in surgical technology within the last 5 years
• Teaching experience preferred
• Adherence to immunization policies and documentation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Access to a suitable computer system
