Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) seeks a Director of Faculty Affairs to oversee faculty recruitment, appointments, reappointments, promotions, and key academic administration and compliance processes. The role also serves as second-in-command to the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs, supporting academic decision-making and leadership.

The position is for a 3 year term, eligible for renewal and relocation support is provided for expatriate staff.

Competenze

• Master's degree preferably in the humanities or social sciences.
• PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• Record of excellence in teaching, research, and service or significant experience as a senior academic administrator.
• Experience managing teams and working with university academic and administrative departments.
• Experience developing and implementing academic policies and procedures.

Mansioni

• Oversee recruitment, appointment, reappointment, and promotion of full-time core and teaching faculty.
• Oversee recruitment and appointment of adjunct faculty.
• Communicate and advise faculty on policies; assist in tracking compliance.
• Coordinate high-volume administrative processes including promotion, reappointment, research leave, and course banking.
• Serve as second-in-command to the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs.
• Facilitate faculty onboarding and orientation; oversee workload and reporting.
