Job summary

KONE is seeking a Factory Team Leader to supervise production operators and technicians, ensuring safe, high‑quality, on‑time delivery of components. You will serve as the first line of contact between workers and the Supervisor, guiding daily activities and improvements.

You will oversee schedules, allocate tasks, train staff, and drive a culture of continuous improvement while collaborating with the production team to meet targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing/operational processes.
  • Solid experience in production processes and in managing and leading people.
  • Good knowledge about processes in component installation for customer and quality needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production operatives: study schedules, estimate work hours, and assign duties.
  • Drive safety, productivity and quality in production with supervisor.
  • Maintain production records and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Communicate targets and quality expectations daily to team.
  • Ensure complete on-time delivery and reduce rework/scrap.

Job Overview: Factory Team Leader supports the Supervisor in leading, guiding, and mentoring of team members. He/she is in responsible for leading the production operators and technicians assuring safe, high quality, complete-on-time delivery of KONE components. He/she acts as the first interface between workers and the Supervisor

Job Duties

  • Lead production operatives: Studies production schedules and estimates work hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Drives safety, productivity and quality in production with supervisor. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties. Maintains production records. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Allocates operatives to work stations in cooperation with production supervisor. Trains operatives to new tasks. Works closely with the supervisor to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performance Measures: Volume per shift productivity and efficiency. Optimize direct working hours - reducing indirect hours with the best use of the resources. Reducing lost time in production. Daily communication to the people (Targets, Quality, IIFR etc). Complete on Time. Rework/production scraps reduction. Safety and environmental measures. Ideas and suggestions in his area.

Hiring Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing/operational process. Solid experience in production processes and in managing and leading people in standard or special production. Good knowledge about the processes in component installation for a better understanding of the customer and quality needs. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. High school degree. Basic English knowledge. Computer skills – MS Office and SAP is a plus.

Annual Base Pay Range: The hiring range for this role is $28.94 – $37.96 hourly. The compensation package offered will depend on candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role, needs for the business strategy, and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
