A Day in the Life of a Factory Store Shift Leader

As a Factory Store Shift Leader at Lodge Cast Iron, you’ll take charge of the sales floor, ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience. Your role is to support the management team by guiding and mentoring the sales associates, setting the tone for customer service, and ensuring that our store operates smoothly. You’ll be proactive in fostering an environment where respect, trust, and teamwork are paramount, and where customers leave with positive experiences that reflect our brand’s legacy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team to achieve individual and store sales goals.
  • Set the standard for customer engagement, ensuring every interaction is positive and memorable.
  • Maintain an environment of respect and dignity for all associates.
  • Execute and supervise tasks as directed by store management.
  • Recognize and appreciate individual team members for their talents and contributions.
  • Share product expertise to create unique, engaging experiences for customers.
  • Actively seek out customers to assist with product information and recommendations.
  • Support the management team with opening, closing, and register functions.
  • Ensure the store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, and back-of-house standards.
  • Participate in fostering a workplace where associates are treated fairly and in line with the company's values.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving products as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as required by the Store Manager.
  • At least 1-2 years of retail store experience.
  • Ability to use a point-of-sale system and related software.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand on a solid surface for up to 10 hours or more.
  • Ability to climb, bend, push, pull, and kneel.
Work Schedule & Availability
  • This part-time role requires a consistent commitment of 20–25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Since part-time employees are not eligible for PTO, shift leaders are expected to maintain a regular schedule and request time off in advance to ensure smooth store operations.
