Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a Factory Quality Technician in Allentown, PA. As part of the team, you'll ensure compliance with stringent Nestlé and Regulatory guidelines for producing safe pet food.
Your role will involve auditing incoming materials, complete inspections on finished products, and leading corrective action planning for continuous improvement. Responsibilities include performing tests and collaborating with lab associates to meet factory goals while supporting a night shift schedule.
The position offers a competitive salary and responsive benefits.
Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Together, we contribute to Allentown's identity as a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we are truly proud to call home. That’s why we not only make high quality food for pets but our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.
As a Factory Quality Technician, you’ll ensure compliance with Nestlé and Regulatory guidelines and specifications for production of safe pet food products. Audit incoming materials, check parameters and procedures, and complete inspections on finished products as you make an impact across our processes. You’ll isolate and detain all non-conforming pet food and lead corrective action planning and implementation for continuous improvement. This position will support our night shift on a continuous operations schedule.
The approximate pay range for this position is $45,000-$59,000 per year. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with Company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
