Job summary

viaPhoton is seeking a Factory Operating System (FOS) Support Technician in Naperville for Mon-Fri, 2nd shift, onsite. You will be on the factory floor providing first-line support for tablets, scanners, monitors, and FOS software to keep production running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot software, devices, and workflows, assist operators and engineers, and manage FOS user accounts and onboarding. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, PTO, holidays, team events, and a shift

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical support, IT support, application support, or manufacturing systems support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dig past the initial report to the right next step.
• Clear communication with operators, supervisors, engineers, and developers, both technical and non-technical.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document issues, steps taken, and follow-ups.
• Able to prioritize multiple issues based on production impact and work on 2nd shift independently.
• Exposure to MDM systems, production-floor hardware like tablets and scanners, Jira/Confluence, or basic networking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot FOS software, device, configuration, and workflow issues, finding root cause and resolving or escalating based on production impact.
• Keep a regular presence on the production floor to spot issues early and support effective use of FOS.
• Manage FOS user accounts, permissions, and onboarding/offboarding, and help maintain mobile device management (MDM) tools.
• Support operators and supervisors with FOS workflows, provide basic training, and help test and validate fixes and new features.

Factory Operating System (FOS) Support Technician

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 2nd Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm | Onsite

Compensation: $25.00/hr, plus a $2,000 prepaid card for medical expenses (prorated based on start date)

About the Role

You'll be the go-to support resource for our Factory Operating System (FOS), keeping the production floor running smoothly. This is hands-on work: you'll troubleshoot software, devices, and workflows, support operators and engineers, and make sure system issues never slow down production. You'll spend your shift on the floor, close to the action.

What You’ll Bring
