Job summary

Base, an Austin-based energy company, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to keep facilities and production line equipment running smoothly. You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, convert requests into work orders, track parts, and ensure the right technician has the right job at the right time.

Within the maintenance and facilities team, you will help minimize downtime, manage costs, and uphold safety standards as Base scales its home battery manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance planning or scheduling.
• Experience with a CMMS (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP, or similar).
• Comfort reading equipment manuals and basic schematics.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facilities systems and production line equipment.
• Turn maintenance requests into work orders and prioritize by urgency, safety, and production impact.
• Track parts and spares inventory for production equipment and order as needed.
• Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and contractors to fit work around production schedules with minimal downtime.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records: work orders, asset history, downtime.
• Run weekly planning meetings to review backlog and upcoming work.
