Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Byhalia, MS is seeking a Factory Controller to join the Finance Operations team, onsite. You will analyze factory operations, prepare financial data for decision making, and manage budgeting and reporting for the Byhalia site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred) with 3+ years manufacturing experience, strong cost accounting knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong understanding of manufacturing business processes.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with standard costing systems, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with ownership and energy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the RFN factory operations in Byhalia and support operating decisions.
• Prepare financial data to initiate and support operating decisions and continuous improvement.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and reporting for operations including VPC, maintenance and fixed costs.
• Generate operations reporting, conduct business analysis, forecasts, and variances vs budget and prior years.
• Prepare annual standard costing and monitor actual vs. standard deviations.
• Provide backup and ad hoc analysis for Operations and Finance teams.

Your future team:

You will become part of the Finance Operations team and will be reporting to the Director - Operations Finance.

What you will be doing:

The Rockfon Operation Controller will be responsible for the analysis of the Rockfon (RFN) Factory Operations in the Byhalia. This position will be a key support resource for Operations and Finance Management. Prepare financial data to initiate and support operating decisions and continuous improvement efforts. The Controller will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and reporting for the operations area including VPC, maintenance costs and fixed cost. Generate Operations Reporting, conduct business analysis, reconciliation, and forecasts, and analyze actual results compared to budget and prior years for all factory and related activities. Prepare annual standard costing and monitor actual versus standard deviation. Monitor and control overall factory investment to align with group guidance, budget controlling, and project time controlling. To provide back up and support for the MAR Factory Controllers in periods of absence Provide ad hoc analysis support to the Operations and Finance team.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing business processes. Strong knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting principles. Experience with standard costing systems, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a high level of ownership, commitment, and energy. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with sound business judgment and a practical, hands‑on approach. Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced environment and work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions. This role is bonus eligible.
