Job summary

SouthStar Capital, LLC is seeking an experienced Factoring Business Development Officer to drive growth by originating new client relationships and nurturing COIs, promoting factoring solutions to SMBs nationwide.

This full-time role offers autonomy, exposure to executive leadership, and the opportunity to shape the growth of SouthStar’s factoring practice while meeting annual sales quotas through a strong pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of recent factoring business development experience selling to SMBs.
• Established and active network of COIs, clients and prospects.
• Proven ability to source, qualify, and close new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development within the assigned geographic market.
• Develop, maintain, and expand strong B2B client relationships.
• Grow COI networks including accountants, bankers, attorneys, consultants.
• Conduct prospecting and sales calls to identify opportunities.
• Represent SouthStar at events and industry organizations.
• Prepare and deliver memos/proposals for prospective clients.
• Collaborate with credit, operations, and underwriting for onboarding.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas.
• Maintain a sustainable pipeline for long-term growth.
